The President, Muhammadu Buhari, has launched the National Crisis Management Doctrine in Abuja.

The doctrine, he said, would bridge the gap created by the extensive deployment of security services through fostering collaboration amongst Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, President Buhari noted that the NCMD shows his government renewed promise and commitment to managing the country’s crisis.

Speaking at the launch, the President commended the efforts of the National Security Adviser, Major-General Babagana Monguno (retd.), his staff and members of the working group from various responder MDAs for the remarkable work in developing the doctrine.

He described the NCMD as a significant milestone in recognizing the need for collective efforts to achieve coordinated, effective, and efficient national crisis management.
