Insecurity Escalates as FG Loses Grip -Kwankwaso

Former Kano State Governor and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has raised concerns over the worsening security situation in the country, saying the Federal Government is gradually losing control of crisis.

Kwankwaso stated this while addressing journalists after a party engagement, noting that recent attacks, kidnappings, and violence across several states show that the government’s current security strategies are ineffective.

He stressed that insecurity has continued to escalate despite repeated promises by authorities, adding that Nigerians are living in fear as criminal elements operate more boldly in many regions.

the pattern of killings and abductions indicates a lack of coordination among security agencies and poor intelligence management. He urged the Federal Government to overhaul its approach and embrace fresh ideas capable of restoring safety nationwide.

Kwankwaso also warned that unless urgent and decisive action is taken, the deteriorating situation may further undermine public confidence in government institutions.

He called for improved funding, better equipment for security forces, stronger community cooperation, and the appointment of competent professionals who understand modern security challenges.

The NNPP leader emphasized that securing lives and property must remain the top priority of any responsible government, adding that “Nigeria cannot move forward when insecurity is overwhelming the nation.
