The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has refuted reports claiming that he was appointed as the political leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Alao Babatunde, Tunji-Ojo dismissed the report as baseless and fictitious.
The minister emphasized that no such appointment had been made and distanced himself entirely from the purported designation, asserting that it held no truth.
He explained that there has been no meeting held with all the local government APC chairmen and leaders in Abuja, as alleged.
