The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has declared sit-at-home across the Southeast on May 30.
IPOB said the sit-at-home was to honour Biafran heroes who died during the civil war of 1967 to 1970.
Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB, directed all schools, government offices, private offices, banks, transport unions, market unions and private individuals to shut down all operations on Thursday.
The IPOB Spokesperson directed other southeasterners living in the Northern and Western part of Nigeria to join and stay indoors for this commemoration of the civil war
