IPOB Sends Serious Warning to Politicians Ahead of Imo Election.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is sending a serious warning to politicians ahead of the Imo State Governorship Election on November 11.

In a statement issued on Friday by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB said the state “must not be thrown into a political crisis” during or after the election.

The group said though it does not get involved in elections, it won’t be silent and watch “corrupt stakeholders perpetuate evil” in the state and southeast.

IPOB cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against conniving with politicians to compromise the integrity of the election.

IPOB members are not politicians and neither partisan, but we are against any political party or government that is toxic to our people,” Powerful said.

Powerful blamed the insecurity in Imo on the state government, alleging that Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo, is playing politics with people’s lives.
