Israel Confirms Killing of Hamas Deputy Military Commander in Air Strike

Isreal Military Forces have confirmed the killing of Hamas deputy military commander, Marwan Issa.

This was announced by Israel’s military spokesperson on Tuesday, revealing that Issa was killed in an Israeli strike.

In a televised statement, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Marwan Issa was eliminated in the strike carried out around two weeks ago.

Hamas had no immediate comment.

Issa was on Israel’s most-wanted list, along with Mohammed Deif, the commander of Hamas’ military arm, the Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, and Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’ leader in Gaza, who are suspected of masterminding the group’s October 7 attack on southern Israel, which sparked the Gaza war.
