Journalists covering Government House, Port Harcourt were barred today from the meeting between members of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party and their host, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
It was learnt that Governor Wike had opened his doors to the state house reporters, but on second thought, he had asked the leader of the visitors and acting BoT chairman of the party, Adolphus Wabara, if he didn’t mind an open meeting.
Wabara reportedly answered in the negative, and the newsmen were excused.
The meeting which started early this afternoon, is still on, as expectations are high for a fruitful outcome.
