King Charles the third returns to London to address the nation and meet British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

Mourners around the world paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth the second by laying flowers and leaving messages at embassies and cathedrals as world leaders continue to send their condolences.

London is preparing for the arrival of huge crowds to mourn the queen.

There will be a service at St Paul’s Cathedral attended by Truss and senior ministers.

Bells will toll at Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral and Windsor Castle, and gun salutes – one round for every year of the queen’s life – will be fired at Hyde Park.

Reacting to the Queen’s passing in a monitored programme, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, Nigerias former foreign affairs minister, on a monitored programme described the role of the late Queen played in ensuring a new world order not built on Antagonism.
