Kwara State Unveils Prototype of Landmark Six-Storey Court House Complex/Vop

Ilorin, Nigeria – The Kwara State Government has unveiled the prototype for its ambitious six-storey Court House complex, a project described as the first of its kind in Africa. The development, spearheaded by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, is set to enhance judicial services in the state.

Located on Ahmadu Bello Way in Ilorin, the complex will feature eight fully equipped courtrooms, offices, a conference hall, and a library, among other modern amenities designed to improve the efficiency of the judiciary.

Speaking at the official handing-over event, Babatunde Sofola of Baron Architecture, representing the project contractor Craneburg International, assured that the construction would be executed in line with the contract’s specifications.

The initiative aligns with Governor AbdulRazaq’s broader vision to reform key sectors in Kwara State, as well as his role as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF). The unveiling was attended by officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, representatives of the Attorney General’s office, and executives from Baron Architecture.

The state government has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a world-class judicial facility that will serve as a model for the continent.
