The Labour Party has expressed disappointment in the Organised Labour’s decision to suspend its nationwide indefinite strike, labelling the move as hasty and lacking in resolve.

According to Kennedy Ahanotu, the party’s National Youth leader, the strike should have continued for at least three days to demonstrate the workers’ determination and force the government to take their demands seriously.

Ahanotu took to social media to express his disappointment, questioning whether the government had reversed any of its decisions, particularly regarding the electricity tariff increase and new minimum wage.

Earlier the party through Ahanotu hailed the decision of the organized labour to go on strike.
