Labour Party Warns Onanuga Over Calls for Peter Obi’s Arrest

The Labour Party has issued a stern warning to those within the highest echelons of power who are allegedly contemplating the illegal arrest of its Presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi.

This advisory was delivered by the National Youth Leader of the LP, Kennedy Ahanotu, in Abuja late yesterday.

Ahanotu’s statement was in response to calls by Presidential Media Aide, Bayo Onanuga, who has been urging Obi’s arrest on the grounds of purportedly being the mastermind behind the calls for a national protest against bad governance.

Ahanotu emphasised that any attempts to arrest Obi on trumped-up charges would not only be illegal but also highly detrimental to the political climate in Nigeria.
