Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has presented cash tokens and gift items to new beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme, RHIESS, emphasising that the government will continue to support senior citizens aimed at positively influencing their lives.
She affirmed this today, at the Lagos Edition of the Scheme held at the Banquet Hall, Lagos House, Ikeja.
She revealed that the initiative championed by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is borne out of her steadfast commitment to the well-being of elderly citizens, noting that this significant stride is in the government’s collective pursuit of a more inclusive and compassionate society.
The First Lady opined that this gesture will further cushion the effect of the economic situation and alleviate the burdens of the beneficiaries during this Ramadan period and Easter celebration
