A fierce political storm is brewing as Abuja-based lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, slams the All Progressives Congress (APC) for urging President Bola Tinubu to extend emergency rule from Rivers State to Osun.
Olajengbesi, in a scathing statement, called the move “despotic, unconstitutional, undemocratic, and self-serving,” warning APC leaders to “perish the thought” of forcing such an action on Osun.
This follows a controversial post by APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, who praised Tinubu’s declaration in Rivers and openly demanded that Osun be next.
With political tensions rising, critics are now questioning: Is Tinubu’s emergency rule a genuine security measure or a dangerous political weapon?
