Lecturers Losing Patience, ASUU President Declares at Protest

The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared that Nigerian lecturers have shown “enough patience” with the Federal Government, warning that their ongoing protests reflect deep frustration over unresolved demands.

He emphasized that the union has tolerated delays on issues such as unpaid salaries, withheld allowances, and underfunding of universities for too long, stressing that the government’s failure to act may leave ASUU with no option but to escalate its industrial actions.
