Awka – A United States-based legal practitioner and philanthropist, Mr. Chidi Amamgbo, has called for a collaborative approach in tackling insecurity, particularly in Ihiala and its environs.
Speaking at a media briefing in Awka, Mr. Amamgbo expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation in the area, emphasizing that the crisis has forced many residents to abandon their ancestral homes. He described the situation as a failure of governance and urged the federal government to intensify efforts in restoring peace and security nationwide.
According to Mr. Amamgbo, insecurity has inflicted severe socio-economic hardships on the people of Ihiala, making it imperative for all stakeholders—government, security agencies, community leaders, and citizens—to work together to find lasting solutions.
He further called for the deployment of all necessary resources to combat crime and restore normalcy, stressing that security is a fundamental right that must not be compromised.
Residents of Ihiala and other affected areas continue to hope for a swift resolution to the security challenges that have disrupted their lives and livelihoods.
