LP Calls for Investigation Into Fire Incident at NLC President’s Residence

The Labour Party has expressed its solidarity with the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Joe Ajaero following the recent fire incident at his home in Lagos.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the party called on the government to thoroughly investigate the cause of the fire.

According to reports, the fire originated from the roof and quickly escalated into a massive blaze, forcing family members of the union leader to evacuate the premises.

Despite the efforts of neighbors and firefighters, the inferno could not be completely extinguished.

Reacting to the incident, the National Chairman of the LP, Julius Abure emphasized the importance of conducting a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause of the mysterious fire.

He urged the government to leave no stone unturned in uncovering the truth behind the incident.

The LP chairman further encouraged the authorities to support and enhance the capabilities of the Fire Service to ensure its effectiveness in tackling fire incidents.

Addressing Ajaero directly, the LP National Chairman urged him not to be disheartened by the incident but to be guided by the NLC’s motto of ‘Aluta Continua’.

He also expressed relief that no lives were lost in the fire.
