Enugu State Governor welcomed the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Oluyemi Thomas Olatoye, during a courtesy visit to the Government House. The meeting focused on strengthening security collaboration in the state.
Governor reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to tackling criminality, highlighting the success of ongoing security measures. He noted that a zero-tolerance approach to crime, backed by technology, community policing, and strong partnerships with security agencies, has significantly improved safety in Enugu.
According to the governor, these efforts have led to the dismantling of criminal networks and a decline in criminal activities, boosting investor confidence in the state. He assured continued support for security forces to sustain the progress and ensure that Enugu remains a safe and thriving environment for residents and businesses.
