Abuja — A concerned citizen has issued a strong warning to Nigerian political leaders, cautioning that their actions and decisions while in power may one day come back to haunt them.
Speaking during a public discussion, the man criticized the carelessness and impunity often displayed by those in government, urging them to act responsibly and remember that leadership is temporary.
“The people in government today are not very careful. Everyone should be mindful of whatever they do, because one day, it might fall back on them,” he warned.
He noted that many public officials behave as though they are above accountability, forgetting that power is transientand that every action taken in office has consequences.
According to him, governance should be rooted in integrity, transparency, and service to the people, not personal gain or political rivalry.
“Those who misuse public office today may one day face the same system they corrupted. That is why everyone in power must govern with conscience,” he added.
His remarks come amid widespread public criticism of poor governance, corruption, and lack of accountability among Nigeria’s political class.
Observers say the warning reflects a growing sentiment among citizens who are increasingly demanding responsible leadership and justice for past misdeeds.
