Mr. Mohammed Bara’u has officially assumed office as the new Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kano State. The announcement was made in a statement by Mr. Abdullahi Labaran, the Public Education Officer, on Monday in Kano.
Labaran explained that Bara’u takes over from the outgoing Sector Commander, Masa’udu Matazu, following a nationwide redeployment of senior officers within the FRSC.
The new Sector Commander began his duties on Monday, after successfully completing his tenure as the Zonal Head of Operations at FRSC Zone 1 Headquarters in Kaduna. Labaran further emphasized that Bara’u brings a wealth of experience and strong dedication to the FRSC’s mission of promoting safer road use across Nigeria.
Describing Bara’u as a seasoned administrator and accomplished officer, Labaran highlighted his extensive experience in various operational, administrative, and strategic roles within the corps.
He also called on the Kano State Government, stakeholders, and the general public to support the FRSC in its efforts to enhance road safety and reduce traffic accidents across the state.
