The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance) has announced the successful signing of handling contracts with five local and international airlines, further expanding its portfolio of aviation services across the country.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos by Mr. Tayo Ajakaye, General Manager, Corporate Communications at NAHCO.
According to the statement, NAHCO will provide cargo freighter and warehousing services in Lagos and Abuja for Royal Air Maroc under a five-year agreement extending to November 2029. The Moroccan airline also maintains an existing comprehensive ground handling agreement with NAHCO covering all its operations in Nigeria.
Additionally, the company has renewed its long-standing contract with Kenya Airways for another five years. The renewed agreement includes both passenger and cargo handling services throughout Nigeria.
NAHCO has also signed a new three-year contract with Dornier Aviation, which covers passenger flight handling across multiple airports, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Osubi, among others.
In a move to support new entrants, NAHCO secured a five-year contract with Enugu Air to manage the airline’s passenger operations nationwide.
Furthermore, Cronos Airlines has renewed its ground handling agreement with NAHCO for another three years, covering passenger operations in Lagos and Port Harcourt.
Prince Saheed Lasisi, Group Executive Director of Commercial and Business Development at NAHCO, expressed enthusiasm about the new agreements, calling them a mutual victory for both the company and its partner airlines.
“This is truly a win-win for NAHCO and the airlines. When an aircraft is on the ground, there’s only one company that can manage its operations like it’s their own—NAHCO. Airline operators recognize this and continue to choose us for our service excellence,” Lasisi said.
Group Managing Director of NAHCO, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, also hailed the development, calling it a positive signal for the company’s future growth. He reiterated NAHCO’s commitment to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders alike.
