Hip hop artist and social activist accuses Nigerian broadcasting commission [NBC] of banning his latest single, which according to him is a politically charged track which delivers truth and constructive criticism by those in power.
NBC slammed a broadcast ban on this song declaring it unfit for public air play on radio and on Television, stating that the song criticizes Bola Ahmed Tinubu government.
According to NBC, the song which was released on April 6 has gained lot of reactions on social media and the content found objectionable.
In a memo issued on April 9 by Mr. Susan Obi, the coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, classified the song Not To Be Broadcast [NTTB], stating that it violate section 3.1.8 of the Nigerian broadcasting code.
