The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a 25-year-old pregnant woman, Favour Haruna, with 82 pinches of methamphetamine as well as various quantities of Loud, Arizona, Colorado variants of cannabis and codeine-based cough syrup in Auchi, Edo State.
The NDLEA’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, who highlighted other arrests made by the agency last week in a statement on Sunday, said a Brazilian returnee, Okolie Nwabueze, was also nabbed for importing 92 wraps of cocaine into the country through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Babafemi also said attempts by drug cartels to export 7.805 kilograms of meth to the US and Australia were thwarted.
He also confirmed seizures of drugs and arrest of suspects in Gombe, Kogi and Sokoto states.
