Nigerian Troops Rescue 30 Farmers Abducted by Terrorists in Kebbi State

Kebbi, Nigeria — Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully rescued 30 farmers who were abducted by Islamic terrorists in Tudun Wada, Bena District, Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

According to military sources, the operation was executed after the terrorists ambushed local farmers on their farmlands earlier this week. The swift response of security forces led to a fierce gun battle, during which the hostages were safely rescued and several of the attackers reportedly neutralized.

This rescue comes less than 48 hours after former U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning, threatening that the U.S. Army could invade Nigeria if the government fails to stop the ongoing killings of Christians in the country.

The statement from Trump, which sparked widespread reactions globally, appears to have intensified discussions around Nigeria’s security challenges and the government’s response to terrorism and banditry.

Meanwhile, residents of Bena and surrounding communities have commended the military for their prompt action and bravery, urging continued efforts to secure rural areas and farmlands across the region.

Authorities have confirmed that the rescued farmers are currently receiving medical attention and will soon be reunited with their families.
