The National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA through its Computer Emergency Readiness and Response Team, has warned that it has detected hacking activities targeted at government digital services.
This was contained in a media advisory issued on Wednesday by the NITDA’s Head of Corporate Affairs and External Relations, Mrs Hadiza Umar.
The statement explained that a group of hackers known for its politically and religiously motivated cyber campaigns, poses a significant risk to the country’s critical information infrastructure.
It also stated that they have a track record of successful attacks in various countries.
