NLC Shuts Down Mines Ministry, Accuses FG of 20-Year Injustice and Court Contempt

ABUJA – Tensions flared on Thursday as furious members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) stormed and shut down the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development in Abuja, accusing the government of brazenly ignoring a court judgment.

At the heart of the protest is Comrade Victor Ekpaha, a staff member the ministry allegedly dismissed unjustly two decades ago. Despite a court ruling ordering his reinstatement, the ministry has reportedly refused to comply—triggering the NLC’s dramatic showdown.
