The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has criticized a widely circulated video that showed people demonstrating in front of his palace against the state of the economy.
VOP NEWS reports that the Emir claimed that a protest of such nature did not occur in his palace in a statement released today in reaction to the viral video.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Abdulazeez Arowona, the emir stated that the viral video was part of an event that took place in 2019 in the buildup to the country’s general elections.
