NOLLYWOOD ACTOR, MURPHY AFOLABI, DIES AFTER BATHROOM FALL

The tragic death of popular Yoruba actor and filmmaker, Murphy Afolabi have been reported, barely 24 hours after the report of the death of another popular Nollywood actor, Saint Obi.

The thespian, who was famous for his role in countless Yoruba movies, was said to have fallen down in the bathroom at his house in Ikorodu, Lagos, this morning.

Filmmaker and the president of the Yoruba movies directors guild, Seun Olaiya, shared the sad news on a WhatsApp platform populated by filmmakers.

He was corroborated by the Managing Director of the popular movie marketing company, Corporate Pictures Nigeria Limited, Abdullahi Abdulrasaq.

Showbiz personality and the convener of the Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, also confirmed the news saying he passed away after a fatal fall in his bathroom this morning.

The late actor had recently celebrated his 49th birthday on May 5th
