The Edo Refinery is seeking to expand its production capacity by 6,000 barrels per day, according to the state governor, Godwin Obaseki.
He revealed this during the commissioning of Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited and other projects.
He stated that investors began investing in the state’s refinery in 2017 which is now ready.
Governor Obaseki who also commissioned the Green Hill Ethanol Factory noted that the project will boost local production and job availability.
Also speaking at the event, the governor disclosed that the state has introduced a computerized system for its civil service.
He added that the state has continuously increased its monthly IGR since 2016.
