Workers in Edo have been celebrating the commencement of the payment of N70,000 new minimum wage by the state government.
This is in fulfilment of the promise to increase the minimum wage from May 2024.
In a statement today, the state commissioner for communication and orientation, Chris Nehikhare, said the payment of the N70,000 minimum wage to the workers further demonstrates the commitment of the Obaseki-led administration to the welfare of Edo workers.
The commissioner advised workers to be committed to their duties and contribute effectively to ensuring the governor’s administration ends on a good note.
