Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has condemned the reported disappearance of ₦210 trillion from the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), describing the situation as evidence that “Nigeria has become a crime scene.
”Obi stated that such colossal financial mismanagement exposes the depth of corruption and a lack of accountability within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
He called for a thorough investigation and urged authorities to hold those responsible to account, warning that Nigeria will continue to struggle with poverty, unemployment, and insecurity unless transparency is enforced in its institutions.
