Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has unveiled a luxury Signature Home developed by Obi Cubana at the Cubana Millennium City in Asaba.
The unveiling took place on Sunday during Obi Cubana’s 51st birthday celebration at the project site in Asaba, drawing dignitaries, business leaders and investors.
Speaking at the event, Governor Oborevwori commended the entrepreneur for investing in Delta State, describing the project as a catalyst for economic growth.
“This development is not just about housing; it is about creating a new economic ecosystem,” he said, noting its potential to reshape Asaba and strengthen its position as a key urban hub in the South-South and South-East regions.
The development, known as Cubana Millennium City, is positioned as a major urban project aimed at transforming the state’s capital and its surrounding communities.
Economic impact
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting private sector-driven investments that align with its goals of economic expansion, infrastructure development and job creation.
He added that large-scale projects like Cubana Millennium City could unlock opportunities across neighbouring communities and boost the state’s economic profile.
Project milestone
The unveiling of the Signature Home marks a significant milestone in the broader development, serving as a model for the quality, design and lifestyle the project aims to deliver.
In his remarks, Obi Cubana said the initiative is driven by a long-term vision to build a world-class residential and commercial hub.
“We are building more than houses—we are building a city that will stand the test of time and can rival any city in Africa,” he said.
The entrepreneur highlighted the project’s proximity to Asaba Airport and major transport routes as a key advantage, positioning it as an attractive destination for investors with strong potential for value appreciation.
The development is designed as an integrated urban centre featuring residential units, commercial spaces and lifestyle amenities—effectively a “city within a city.”
The ceremony concluded with a guided tour of the Signature Home, giving attendees a first-hand look at the architectural design and standards of the project.
