The enforcement team of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA Brigade) has carried out a major cleanup operation in the Ogbunike and Tarzan Nkpor areas along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.
In collaboration with other security agencies, the task force sealed off scrap businesses operating illegally along roadways and drainage systems. Large scrap deposits that were littered indiscriminately, especially those obstructing waterways, were cleared and removed.
This enforcement follows the Anambra State government’s recent ban on unlicensed scrap businesses and scavengers. Authorities have emphasized the need for proper identification of those engaged in the trade, warning against illegal operations that deface the state and contribute to vandalism of public infrastructure.
