The Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra initiative, led by the Managing Director and Special General (MD/SG) of OCHA Brigade, Chief Celestine Anere, intensified its enforcement efforts with the demolition and removal of illegal shanties and roadside structures in Ogbunike.
The enforcement team carried out the exercise along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, targeting makeshift structures erected by traders. This follows similar demolitions earlier in the week at Igbariam and Toll Gate Ogbunike.
Under the direct supervision of Chief Anere, the team ensured that all unauthorized structures, particularly those under power lines and obstructing federal highways, were cleared. The operation aligns with the agency’s broader directive to eliminate street trading, prevent the blockage of waterways, and maintain environmental cleanliness across the state.
