Ocha Brigade Intensify Enforcement On Removal Of Shanties Along Federal Roads

Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra; Ocha Brigade has intensified her enforcement on the removal of illegal shanties and structures on the Federal Roads at Onitsha.

The enforcement began with the demolition of shanties constructed by roadside traders along the Federal Enugu-Onitsha express way. These shanties were constructed either on the walkway, major roads or under pedestrian bridges from MCC road down to upper iweka axis.

The State Government has warned against illegal structures barricading water ways, constructed on the major roads, roadside trading and ors. The agency will continue to ensure that all structures are duly removed.

The agency also relocated drivers who has continued to constitute nuisance along the major roads through unauthorized packs and their refusal to use designated motor packs across the road. Some of the packs were motorist were relocated to includes, Obiano pack, Owerri Central pack and Omanbala pack all located at the bridge head Onitsha.
