The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday, extended warm felicitations to Hajiya Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, as she marked her 50th birthday anniversary.
In a statement released in Abuja, Mrs. Tinubu described Mrs. Shettima as a devoted and supportive partner, whose life has been defined by service and dedication to her family, state, and the nation.
“As you celebrate your 50th birthday anniversary today, I rejoice with you, your husband, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and loved ones,” the First Lady said.
“Your life has been one of service, dedication, and commitment to the well-being of your family and the upliftment of not only your beloved Borno State, but Nigeria as a whole. Working with you has not only been pleasurable but complementary. Thank you for being a worthy partner.”
She prayed for many more years of good health, peace, joy, and happiness for Mrs. Shettima, who currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), the national pet project spearheaded by the First Lady.
In the same spirit, Senator Tinubu also congratulated Senator Bareehu Gbenga Ashafa, who turned 70 on Tuesday.
Ashafa, the Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority and a former senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, was praised for his longstanding contributions to public service.
“I heartily rejoice with you, your family, well-wishers, and associates on this joyous occasion of your 70th birthday,” the First Lady said.
“Your life of service, leadership, and contributions to public service and legislative development are worthy of commendation. May Almighty God continue to grant you strength and wisdom as you continue to serve our beloved nation.”
She wished him continued fulfillment, joy, and divine health in the years ahead.
