The Ondo State House of Assembly has denied reports that it planned to remove the deputy governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
There had been rumours of an underground plot to impeach the deputy governor, whose media aides were sacked recently by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu upon his return from his medical vacation abroad.
In an interview on Saturday, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Mr Olumide Oladiji, while describing the social media reports on the matter as false said the House was not planning any move against the deputy governor.
In the same vein, the Majority Leader of the Assembly, Mr Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, denied the report, saying, “Nobody is plotting any move to impeach the deputy governor as the assembly is busy with what will bring development to the state.
