In a tragic incident that occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos on Thursday, an unidentified male adult has been confirmed dead and one other person was injured after three vehicles crashed.
The multiple accidents involved a Ford bus conveying food items from Mile 12 inward Lagos Island, a Toyota Camry and an Opel car.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA Taofiq Adebayo, confirmed the incident.
He revealed that the Toyota Camry had a tyre burst while in motion, thereby colliding with the two other vehicles.
He further disclosed that one other person sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital.
He added that LASTMA officials and policemen from Oworonshoki police station were also on the ground to manage the traffic situation.
