The head coach of Turkish giants Galatasaray has acknowledged that signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen would be financially unrealistic, stating that the combined cost of his transfer fee and salary could be enough to build an entire team.Speaking while addressing speculation linking the club with the Napoli forward, the Galatasaray coach admitted that Osimhen is a world-class striker but stressed that his market value places him far beyond the club’s financial capacity. According to him, the resources required to complete such a deal would be better spent strengthening multiple areas of the squad.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Napoli, is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in Europe following his prolific goal-scoring form in Serie A and his key role in Napoli’s league title success. His performances have attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe, pushing his transfer valuation and wage demands to elite levels.
The Galatasaray coach noted that while the club always aims to compete at the highest level, it must operate within its financial realities. He emphasized the importance of building a balanced and competitive team rather than committing massive resources to a single player.
Despite the transfer speculation, Osimhen remains under contract at Napoli and is expected to continue attracting attention as the transfer window approaches. His future, however, is likely to be decided by clubs capable of meeting both his transfer fee and salary demands.
