Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he will not be joining Chelsea during the January transfer window, affirming his commitment to stay with Turkish giants **Galatasaray** until the end of his loan spell. The 25-year-old striker made his intentions clear after scoring his fourth goal for Galatasaray in their recent **2-1** victory against **Besiktas** in the Turkish Super Lig Istanbul Derby, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

When asked about his plans for the second half of the season, Osimhen responded, “Yes, I am here,” as reported by Turkish journalist **Yagiz Sabuncuoglu**.

The Nigerian forward has been in sensational form since joining Galatasaray on loan from **Napoli** in September, netting goals in three consecutive league matches. His latest goal came in the 67th minute against Besiktas, where he expertly headed home a cross from **Gabriel Sara** to double Galatasaray’s lead before the visitors managed to score in stoppage time.

Despite Chelsea’s ongoing interest in securing Osimhen’s services and the recent improved form of **Nicolas Jackson**, the Blues are still on the lookout for a striker capable of delivering at least 20 goals per season, with Osimhen viewed as the ideal candidate.

Osimhen’s standout performances in Turkey have garnered attention from Chelsea legends **John Mikel Obi** and **Didier Drogba**, both of whom have endorsed him as an excellent signing for their former club.

Under the management of **Okan Buruk**, Galatasaray has greatly benefited from Osimhen’s contributions, with the striker tallying four goals and four assists in just six appearances. The team currently sits atop the Turkish Super Lig standings with 28 points from 10 matches, enjoying an impressive run of eight wins and two draws in their last ten games across all competitions.

The victory over Besiktas has allowed Galatasaray to open a six-point gap ahead of second-placed **Samsunspor**, while Besiktas remains in fourth with 20 points.

With Osimhen’s confirmation of his commitment to Galatasaray until the summer, Chelsea may need to wait until 2025 to secure the services of the former **Lille** player, who continues to enhance his reputation in Turkish football.
