The bishop was warmly welcomed by the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ephraim Igwilo, the parish vicar, Rev. Fr. Victor Ejie, and a vibrant congregation. The day began with a solemn Episcopal Mass, celebrated by the bishop, marking both the First Sunday of Advent and his first visit to the parish in five years.
In his homily, Bishop Ezeokafor emphasized the themes of hope and trust, drawing from the dayโs scripture readings. He also shed light on the significance of pastoral visits as opportunities to strengthen the spiritual bond between the bishop and the faithful. Addressing the newly confirmed, he encouraged them to remain steadfast in their faith, live as witnesses to Christ, and courageously uphold the gospel.
The pastoral visit was crowned with a joyous reception featuring cultural displays by the Holy Childhood Association and a musical performance by the Catholic Womenโs Organization.

This memorable event will be featured in detail in the forthcoming edition of Fides Newspaper.
