Fear gripped residents of Udu local government area of Delta State following an accident involving a petrol truck.
The petrol-laden tanker reportedly fell on top of Udu bridge, spilling its content on the surrounding environment.
Road users and business persons under the Udu bridge have now begun to evacuate from the location over the fear of an explosion or fire.
The petrol tanker is said to have blocked the bridge, depriving road users of access to the Sedco area of the town.
Those returning from Ovwian, Owase, Jigbale axis have also been denied access following the spill.
VOP News gathered that there is a serious gridlock on top of the bridge as road users are now forced to take alternative routes to their destinations.
