PDP Declares Optimism in Tribunal Verdict Discloses It’s Victory..

Stalwarts of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have expressed optimism and determination to reclaim victory at the Presidential Election tribunal, assuring Nigerians of a brighter future and pledging to wipe off their tears caused by the hardships inflicted by the policies initiated by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government.

The convergence Led by Engineer Ahmed Rufa’i Dagumawa, the Forum of National Assembly contestants in the 2023 general elections in Kano State conveyed their concerns over what they described as anti-people policies that have resulted in untold suffering and hardship for the citizens.

Speaking at a press conference, Dagumawa, who had contested for the House of Representatives seat of Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency, called on Nigerians to be patient and law-abiding as they await the court verdict on the election dispute. He emphasized the importance of continuous struggle for good governance and a better economic, political, and social direction for the country.

The PDP stalwarts expressed their displeasure with the current economic policies and the alleged mismanagement of the nation’s resources by the APC government. They raised concerns about the declining wages, income, salaries, and property values, coupled with rising poverty levels in the country. Furthermore, they criticized the serious hike in petroleum pump prices and the monetary and fiscal policies, particularly in relation to foreign exchange matters.

The security situation of the nation and the handling of the student loan and tuition fees in Nigerian universities were also major points of concern raised by the PDP leaders. They expressed their disagreement with the government’s approach to international trade, the balance of payment system, and foreign direct and portfolio investment, which they believe has negatively impacted the citizens’ wellbeing.

Calling on the presidential court of tribunal to do justice in resolving the election dispute, Dagumawa stressed the importance of considering the democratic and economic survival of the nation, and the crucial role of citizens in the democratic process.
