Awka, February 21, 2025 – Labour Party presidential candidate and former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, has commended Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu for her commitment to community development as he commissioned three major projects in the Awka North and South Federal Constituency.
The commissioned projects include the construction of an access road to the Holy Family Youth Village in Amansea, as well as the rehabilitation of classrooms at Ezi-Awka Community Secondary School and Agulu Awka Primary School. Facilitated by Prof. Orogbu, the projects aim to enhance educational and infrastructural development in the constituency.
Speaking at the event, Obi praised Prof. Orogbu’s dedication, describing her as a proactive leader delivering tangible progress. “Prof. Orogbu is making remarkable strides in community development. Her dedication to education and infrastructure is commendable,” he said, adding that the people of Awka North and South made a wise choice in electing her.
The commissioning ceremony drew widespread applause from community members, traditional rulers, President Generals, and women leaders, all of whom acknowledged Prof. Orogbu’s impact.
Rev. Fr. Dominic Obielosi, Rector of the Holy Family Youth Village, and Amarachi Ngozika, Students Community President, expressed gratitude for the projects, emphasizing their significance to the community.
