The Chief Executive Officer of Nwaguatahihia Motors Limited and Properties, Chief Kingsley Chukwukeme, has empowered over 1,000 individuals and businesses with items worth ₦350 million during the fifth edition of his annual empowerment program. The initiative, held in honor of his late father, Chief Uchedife Akpuakaeme, took place at his country home in Umudinkwa village, Umudim, Nnewi.

The Nwaguatahihia Empowerment Programme, which has been running for five years, has supported 1,100 people in previous editions. With this year’s initiative, the total number of beneficiaries now exceeds 2,000.

At the event, 30 shuttle buses, 100 motorcycles, 100 sewing machines, 500 bags of rice, and liters of groundnut oil were distributed to beneficiaries. Scholarships were also awarded to academically gifted but financially disadvantaged students.

Chief Chukwukeme revealed that his philanthropy was inspired by a deeply personal tragedy. Reflecting on his father’s death due to the family’s inability to afford ₦150 for medical treatment, he said, “I watched my father slump and die because of ₦150. I vowed to God that whatever blessings He gives me, I will use them to help others and prevent such suffering.”

Several dignitaries lauded Chief Chukwukeme for his remarkable generosity and commitment to community development. Among them were the CEO of Best Power Industrial Nigeria Company Limited, Mr. Okezie Adindu; Chairman of Henice Group of Companies, Dr. Emmanuel Eze; Mr. Kingsley Ezeiru; and the Brand Ambassador of Nwaguatahihia Properties, Miss Rejoice Ugochukwu. They commended his exceptional leadership and prayed for divine blessings, long life, and continued success for him and his family.

One of the beneficiaries, Miss Kindness Emmanuel, who received a sewing machine, expressed her gratitude. “I am so thankful for this opportunity and promise to make the best use of it,” she said.

The event underscored Chief Chukwukeme’s unwavering dedication to uplifting lives and honoring the legacy of his late father through impactful community service.
