Police Deny Ritual Killing as LASU Mourns ‘Tragic Death’ of Missing Graduate

to

The Lagos State Police Command has shut down reports circulating on social media about the alleged ritual murder of Adedamola Ogunbode, a 28-year-old Lagos State University (LASU) graduate. However, the case has taken a dramatic turn as three suspects, including a prophet, have been arrested.

While some reports claim that Ogunbode’s mutilated body was found buried in a church compound, police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin insists that these claims are false and misleading. According to him, the missing graduate has not been found, dead or alive, and the police are treating the case strictly as a missing person investigationnot murder.

Despite this, LASU’s management has expressed deep sorrow over what they are calling the “tragic death” of Ogunbode, insisting that he was allegedly killed for ritual purposes. The university has also demanded swift justice, urging authorities to ensure that “the perpetrators do not go unpunished.”

With conflicting reports, unanswered questions, and a prophet now in police custody, Nigerians are left wondering—is this a cover-up, a case of misinformation, or the start of a chilling revelation?
