Awka, Anambra State – Operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad (SPACS), Enugwu Ukwu, intercepted three suspects and recovered a stolen vehicle during a patrol on the morning of January 15, 2025.
The operation took place at Kwata Junction, Awka, where a black Lexus 330 SUV without a plate number was stopped. Upon interrogation, the suspects, identified as Ifesinachi Okonkwo (22), Chisom Okafor (20), and Oderah Ebenezer (20), confessed to stealing the car from Isuaniocha Village, Awka North. The suspects also admitted to being members of a criminal gang involved in terrorizing residents of Awka.
The Anambra State Police Command has urged anyone who believes the recovered vehicle may belong to them, particularly residents of Isuaniocha, to visit the office of the Police Public Relations Officer in Awka. Claimants must present valid proof of ownership for verification and possible retrieval of the vehicle.
