Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Zamfara State Command, have rescued 12 kidnap victims from a bandits’ den.
VOP gathered that the rescued victims, who had spent one month in captivity, were abducted by armed bandits and taken to the Kare Kukanka forest, a bandit camp headed by a notorious leader known as Bello Maibille.
An impeccable police source noted that a tactical unit of the Zamfara Police Command, in conjunction with some vigilante, acting on intelligence, had stormed the Kare Kukanka forest to rescue the victims and dislodge the bandits.
Zamfara police spokesperson, Mohammed Shehu, confirming the incident, noted that of the 12 kidnap victims is a five-month-old baby girl.
