Following the security challenges confronting the nation, the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Usman, has appealed to Nigerians not to panic, assuring that the force was making efforts to tackle the menace.
IGP Alkali spoke at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State during the graduation ceremony of 324 police personnel who were trained in Explosive Ordinance Disposal – Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear technique.
He explained that the 324 personnel who are attached to the EOD-CBRN Command of the Nigeria Police Force, were trained to effectively perform Improved Explosive Devices disposal.
The police chief noted that the trainees has acquainted themselves with safety and security guidelines in EOD-CBRN operations as well as the emerging global threats and mitigation strategies.
