The Anambra State Police Command has affirmed that President Bola Tinubu’s successful visit to the state is a clear indication that Anambra is safe and secure.
Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, made this known in a statement released on his behalf by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Friday in Awka.
During the visit, President Tinubu inaugurated several key projects, including the Anambra State Government House, Solution Fun City, and both the Governor’s and Presidential Lodges. He also commissioned the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The CP praised the people of Anambra for their cooperation and support to security agencies before, during, and after the presidential visit.
“The successful hosting of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Awka further reinforces the fact that Anambra State is safe for both residents and visitors,” Orutugu said.
He emphasized that strategic coordination and collaboration among security agencies are vital in addressing security challenges and ensuring a safe environment for all.
The Commissioner also lauded police officers and other security operatives for their dedication and effective teamwork in maintaining order and safety throughout the high-profile visit.
