The deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu has said that the parliament was working on a number of bills that will effectively promote Small and Medium scale Enterprises, SMEs in Nigeria.
He said under President Bola Tinubu, Nigeria has already witnessed a series of transformative reforms aimed at repositioning the nation on the path to sustained economic growth.
Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu said the deputy speaker spoke at the ground breaking ceremony of the Abia Innovation Industrial Park in Owaza, Ukwa West Local Government Area of the State.
Initiated by the Abia State Government under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti, the project is expected to foster economic growth, create jobs, and position Abia State as a hub for innovation and industrialization when completed.
Teh speaker noted that the industrialization of Abia State is not only a dream but also a well-thought-out strategy, stressing that it aligns perfectly with the broader national goals of achieving self-sufficiency and economic prosperity
